Ms. Kleven is founder and owner of the law firm. She has extensive experience fighting deportation cases in immigration court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA). Much of her practice is devoted to representing clients in family-based matters, including immigration waivers, petitions for family members and fiancés, and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DreamAct). She has considerable experience in keeping families together through the legal immigration process.
Prior to founding the Law Office of Mari Kleven, Ms. Kleven was selected by the U.S. Department of Justice for the highly competitive Attorney General Honor’s Program to serve as a Judicial Law Clerk and Attorney Advisor for the Executive Office for Immigration Review.
Ms. Kleven’s background in advocacy includes working in Ecuador collaborating with indigenous communities to create business opportunities and working domestically with survivors of torture and war trauma, refugees and other recent immigrants.
